If you only have time for two outdoor spots in Dubai, make them Kite Beach and the Marina Walk. Between the two of them, which are only about 10 minutes apart - you get the best of what the city does outdoors: a proper beach with great food and actual things to do, followed by one of the most walkable, good-looking waterfronts in the Middle East. We do both of these regularly. Here's exactly how to get the most out of each one.

1. Kite Beach: Adrenaline & Beach Vibes

Kite Beach is the epicenter for active beachgoers in Dubai. It offers a raw, energetic atmosphere that is perfect for a bachelor group looking for more than just sunbathing. In 2026, it remains the city's best all-rounder beach - good for families in the morning, watersports enthusiasts during the day, and food truck grazing any time. It's louder and more active than the Jumeirah beach strips, which is exactly the point. If you want serene, go to Jumeirah Open Beach. If you want energy and things actually happening, Kite Beach is your spot.

What to Do: Beyond Sunbathing

  • Kitesurfing: As the name suggests, this is the main attraction. Several professional schools offer lessons and gear rentals. Steady winds and calm waters make it ideal for both beginners and advanced riders. If you’ve ever wanted to try it, this is the place.
  • Paddleboarding & Kayaking: Perfect for a morning workout with stunning views of the Burj Al Arab. Rentals are conveniently located right on the sand. It’s a great way to get a full-body workout while enjoying the calm Arabian Gulf.
  • Volleyball Courts: Public courts are available.Get there early on weekends - they fill up fast.
  • Outdoor Gyms & Jogging Track: If you need to keep up with your fitness regime, there are free outdoor workout stations with body-weight equipment. Additionally, a paved 14-km jogging track runs right alongside the beach, offering a scenic route for a morning run.

Our order: the Original with extra jalapeños, and the mac and cheese on the side. Eat it on the low wall facing the water. The Burj Al Arab view from that spot while eating a decent burger in the sea breeze is one of those simple Dubai moments that actually delivers.

Cost and Logistics

  • Entry Fee: Free.
  • Sunbed & Umbrella Rental: Ranging from AED 50 to AED 100, though many bachelors opt to bring their own towels to save money.
  • Facilities: Clean public restrooms, changing rooms, and shower facilities are available, making it convenient to transition from beach to city.

2. Eating and Drinking at Kite Beach

Kite Beach is famous for its food truck culture. You do not need to dine at a high-end restaurant to enjoy excellent food here. The sand is lined with a variety of vendors offering everything from gourmet burgers to healthy smoothies.

The Iconic Salt

The most famous spot on the beach is Salt. Originally a vintage airstream food truck, it has grown into a phenomenon. Their wagyu beef sliders are legendary, and for a good reason, they are perfectly cooked and come in a casual setting right on the beach. It is almost a rite of passage for visitors.

Other Recommendations for a Bachelor Group

  1. LaOla: A beachfront restaurant offering a wider sit-down menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a view of the Palm. It's great if you want a bit more comfort than a food truck provides.
  2. Surfish Fish & Chips: Great for a quick, filling meal after a session in the water.
  3. Circle Café: Excellent for healthy bowls and smoothies if you are trying to balance the indulgence of the trip with some nutritious options.

3. Dubai Marina Walk: Scenic Recovery

The Marina Walk is where we end up on evenings when we don't want to plan anything specific - you just walk, find food when you're hungry, and watch the yachts and the skyline do their thing. It sounds simple because it is, and that's what makes it good. The 7km loop around the Marina is one of the few places in Dubai where you actually feel like you're in a walkable city.

Atmosphere and Experience

Dotted with global cafes, food outlets, and restaurants, the Marina Walk is perfect for an evening walk. The ambiance changes completely at night, with the glittering lights of the skyscrapers reflecting on the water and luxury yachts bobbing in the marina.

What to Do: Leisure and Views

  • Casual Stroll: The walk is pedestrian-friendly, connecting various parts of the Marina. It’s a fantastic place to just wander without a specific destination in mind.
  • Water Tours: Take a traditional Dhow dinner cruise or rent a private yacht for a sunset tour to see the skyline from a different perspective. This is a great way to combine sightseeing with leisure.
  • XLine Dubai Marina: For the adrenaline junkies, the world’s longest urban zipline starts from the Marina Mall and takes you at high speed over the water. It’s a fast, thrilling way to see the Marina from above.

4. Dining at the Marina Walk

Budget-Friendly Options

  • Shawarma Kiosks: You can find incredible shawarmas for around AED 15-25 near the tram stations. They are fast, delicious, and the perfect budget bite.

The shawarma near the Marina Promenade tram stop is consistently good and costs about AED 18–22. It's the kind of thing you eat standing up at the counter while watching the boats go past, which is a perfectly valid dinner in our opinion.

  • Marina Mall Food Court: A reliable option for quick, international fast food if you are in a rush.

Mid-Range and Sit-Down Options

  1. Bistro Des Arts: Authentic French cuisine with a waterfront terrace. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with high-quality food.
  2. The Scene by Simon Rimmer: A British gastropub with a lively atmosphere. It’s a great place for a casual meal and a pint with a view.
  3. Pier 7: While more upscale, this 7-story tower offers specialized fine-dining restaurants with unmatched views. If you are looking for a special evening, this is the place to go.

  • Morning Recovery (Kite Beach): Aim to arrive by 8:30–9:00 AM, especially from October to April. The beach is quieter, the light is beautiful, and you beat the heat. By 11am on a weekend it fills up fast
  • Afternoon Exploration: Use the afternoon to grab lunch from the food trucks and relax in the shade.
  • Evening Stroll (Marina Walk): Plan your stroll around sunset (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) to experience the best views and transition into dinner.

5. Timing and Dress Code

The Ideal Schedule

  • Kite Beach: 8:00 AM to avoid the peak heat and maximize your time in the water.
  • Marina Walk: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM to enjoy the cooler air and evening lights.

Dress Code and Etiquette

  • Beach: Casual swimwear is appropriate, but respectful attire is required when leaving the beach area. Topless sunbathing is strictly prohibited.
  • Marina Walk: Smart-casual attire is ideal for the various cafes and restaurants located along the path. Flip-flops are fine for walking, but some nicer restaurants may require shoes.

Our honest suggested day: Kite Beach from 9am to noon - swim, eat at Salt, walk the strip. Then head to the Marina for the 6pm golden hour and dinner somewhere along the Walk. Total spend without watersports: probably AED 100–150 per person including food. Total spend with a kitesurfing lesson and a sit-down Marina dinner: closer to AED 400–500. Either way, it's one of the best days you can have in this city.
