This is the bit that catches people out most - and it's happened to us too. The listed BOGO price almost never includes what you'll actually pay. Here's what to watch for:
- Service Charges and Taxes: BOGO prices listed often do not include the 10% service charge and 7% municipality fee. Expect to pay roughly 17% more than the menu price.
- Menu Limitations: "Selected Beverages" usually means house spirits, specific hops, and limited wines. Premium spirits are almost never included.
- Group Restrictions: Some venues limit BOGO to a maximum of 4 drinks per person, or restrict it to specific tables. Ask your waiter about limits immediately.
